Almost two years now since I last used this profile. I'm getting more into photography again. I think I'm going to try to push for some clients and start making some money. I've thought about it before, and had a few jobs, but as I'm not working full time and I just quit school for the second time, it seems like a good plan. So I'm going to be working on my portraiture and maybe try to get a wedding sometime soon. I'll save up and get some reflectors, a remote, maybe even an off-camera flash. I need a new pen for my tablet. The stupid thing broke, and I haven't been able to use it at all. I know they're not that expensive, but it just isn't the sort of thing I can justify buying right now. It's really hurting my ability to edit the photos I'm taking with my fancy new camera.

Yes it is true! I bought a Nikon D-40. It's a pretty cheap one as DSLRs go, but it's a good place to start and I've already taken some great photos with it. It's a huge change from my old Canon AT-1 (which I miss, by the way). I wish I could have a simple camera like my Canon with totally manual controls and knobs and wheels and stuff, only have it save images digitally. Of course I can do all of the same things with my D-40, but I haven't figured out how it all works yet. I'm slowly getting the hang of it. Plus, my Canon has been dead for years, so I've been out of the photography game for a while.
